I am an actor who has been hired for background work in feature films, television, and short films. In the past 1-2 years, I have had speaking roles in short film, pilots, educational training videos, documentaries, and the Standardized Patient Program. While working full time for the State of California, I have managed to be cast in 14 projects, with no agent representation. In my younger years, I was in theater and became a Certified Professional Model.
About me - current project:
First, and foremost, I choose to be a RESPECTED actress who takes my role(s) very seriously. Every project that I work on will be given 150% by me as well as my total, undivided attention. My dream project is one that will allow me the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from deep within my soul in a caring, sincere, nurturing and intense manner. An added bonus for me would be to have a speaking role in a film that will provide SAG status, thus, opening up more doors for me as a professional actress.
Laurels, awards and other accomplishments:
In 2009, I have taken Scene Study classes with Director Ryan McKinney for six months and will continue taking these classes in 2010. I have taken the following classes taught by Charlie Holliday: (1) Mosaic Acting Academy for Commercials (2009); (2) Improvisation (2009); and (3) On Camera Workshop (2006). In 2006, I also took "The Actors Workshop" with Tom Hughes.
In 2003, I competed in the International Poetry Competition in Florida and became a member of the "International Society of Poets". One of my poems has been published by the International Library of Poets. In 1988, I was awarded a "Golden Poet Award" by "The World Of Poetry". I received "Award Of Merit Certificates" for the rank of "Honorable Mention" by "The World of Poetry for two of my poems in 1987 and 1988.
In 1984-1985, I was the writer/director/casting director/actress for a play titled "The Right Way and The Wrong Way". It was performed at the church I attended at that time.
From 1980-1985, I was cast as the "lead" in four plays, as "supporting" in one play, and as a "dancer" in one play.
In the early 1980's, I attended Manikin Manor Professional Modeling School for one year. I graduated from modeling school in 1982 and became a Certified Professional Model.
