Pencils Down! The 100 Days of the Writers Guild Strike - Trailer

In 2007, the Writers Guild of America had a contract up for negotiations. The Big issue on the Table was New Media - the Internet. Movies and Television Shows were just beginning to be reused and viewable on a computer. The question up for negotiation was who gets paid and how? When the negotiations between the AMPTP and the WGA broke down, for the first time in over 20 years the writers picked up picket signs and walked out.
This documentary explores what was happening in media that led to the strike, what happened during the strike and where we are now after the strike. The television and film industry was at a major turning point in its history - even if they didn't know it. Since the strike, viewers have been changing the way the make, get and view television and movies that will continue on into the future.
