Fashion On Film: Sacramento's Premiere Fashion Event Of The Year!

Fashion On Film is Sacramento’s most premiere event. Happens every year in February. Ther was a panel of some of Sacramento’s most influential fashionista’s discussing fashion, film, and why the two are so important to the city’s fashion culture. This is a merging of filmmakers, models, designers, make-up artist brings them all together for a documentary film that screens at the event.

We meet Christie, who specializes in head-dresses. Her next show, as she quotes it, will be “ A Victoria secret fashion show on steroids”. Next is Ms.Little whom specializes in pattern making and construction. She is a Brooklyn native who has designed for celebrities like Rihanna, Ciera, and editorials for magazines like Vibe, GQ, and Esquire. She has a boutique Lore, which is located on H Street, between 8^th and 9^th Rory Castillo being doing art and fashion since high school. After serving in the military for 3 years, he became inspired by his travels and the rich history the world has to offer. His inspiration is history. He makes a good point that people don’t give enough credit to art and fashion scene in Sacramento. And he is back to make that happen. The designer of Queens Chair, is self-taught, from and from Sacramento. She comes from a family of seamstress, and has become a master in her field. She has participated in Sac fashion week, and creates handbags and accessories.

After they introduced themselves, Martin Anaya hosted a small fashion show of sorts to introduce potential models, photographers, and film makers to one another and to show one another’s talent.This is really a collective event. It takes everyone involved to make the event the strong success it has been. Fashion on Film is experiencing growth at an exponential rate. You want to get involved in this.
