Greetings members of California Film Foundation.

This is your summer update for 7-7-10. The Foundation is growing by leaps and we have our members to thank. here is an update on some exciting activities:

1) July 31st we'll screen the musical fantasy film CHARLIE'S CLOSET by Sac Film Fest alum and teen phenom Spencer Reed. Watch for a SPECIAL INVITATION but this exciting film and music event will knock your sox off. Hard to believe the director/writer is just 18!

2) July 16th is our annual SUMMER PARTY (Sacramento). This EXCLUSIVE networking mixer is a great way to have fun and meet your fellow filmmakers. More detail and a special RSVP list to come but please mark the date.

3) Our director, Martin Anaya is bulding a new Media Lab at his other place of business, Pacifica Community TV. This will mean a tremendous opportunity for our bay area friends to learn/create and will compliment the new California Film TV show (yes we said TV). Watch for more detail. The show will feature a LIVE studio audience so we'll look forward to seeing YOU there.

4) (LA) Fresh off the successful June event, our friend and mentor Marc Clebanoff will be again doing an INDIE CON. Please watch for more detail as it becomes available. Indi Con is where independent producers learn their craft from the Hollywood titans. If you're in the LA vicinity don't miss the next one. This is for serious folks like YOU!

Many more exciting developments to report in all regions (including So Cal). Please stay tuned. Meanwhile, please check back to the site frequently as we are updating with much film and media news that impacts you.
