Its a whirlwind look at her life and hasn't been seen in Sacramento in a while . I'll be there to answer questions and to let people know about my upcoming new short on Pleasant and my live shows (see below). The marketplace is fun with good food and things to buy, and I'll be on hand to answer questions. Everything is FREE. Bibbs premiere's New Film Intro and Live Musical on Mother of Civil Rights
On Mar. 23 at 7 pm and March 24 at 4pm at the Brickhouse Art Gallery and Complex in Sacramento. Emmy-winning producer and award-winning Independent filmmaker Susheel Bibbs will premiere a new short film on Mary Ellen Pleasant (California's Mother of Civil Rights) and a live show. The short 18-min. documentary film -- The Legacy of Mary Pleasant-- uses footage from her 2007 top-level Telly Award winner and her live performances on Pleasant. Following the introductory film, Bibbs will become Pleasant on stage in her rousing, one-woman musical O Freedom! --something she has not done in Sacramento since 2007. It's fun, participatory history. The Brickhouse is at 36th and Broadway in Sacramento, and tickets are available on Eventbrite and at the door. Contact number: (916) 475-1240. In today's digital age, media consumption has evolved dramatically, with platforms like Netflix revolutionizing entertainment. From binge-worthy series to acclaimed films, Netflix has reshaped how we unwind. Yet, amid this convenience, concerns linger—privacy breaches, data security, and the authenticity of information propagated. Searches for Netflix phone number highlight this blend of reliance and caution in navigating the digital landscape. As media intertwines with daily life, its influence amplifies—shaping opinions, culture, and societal norms. The quest for balance between convenience and vigilance underscores the evolving relationship between individuals and the media they consume, reflecting broader shifts in our digital ecosystem.
