About me - current project:
DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY, the story of a college football scandal that rocks the country and destroys a national championship team.

In the early innocent years of the sixties, two West Point juniors -- an All-American end and his quarterback roommate -- lead the Army football team to its best record in years. As a result, expectations for a national championship the next season loom large.

But that winter, a cheating scandal suddenly blows up at the Academy, expelling most of the football team (including the quarterback-roommate) and decimating any hopes for future glory. Friendships, reputations, and careers are all destroyed in the swath of the scandal.

In addition, as a member of the Honor Committee, the All-American end must preside over the trials of the accused, where he is compelled -- by duty and honor -- to take part in the expulsions of his friends and teammates.

The next year, in a desperate attempt to salvage the season, Army's coach switches the end to quarterback to lead the team, but the going, of course, is nothing but tough. Without any experienced players to help, the All-American finds he must carry the squad by himself.

However, through all the rough times and adversity, he develops the leadership qualities and heroism that eventually lead him to an upset victory over archrival Navy and, even more important, to a Medal of Honor -- at the cost of his own life in the killing fields of Vietnam...
Laurels, awards and other accomplishments:

This script won the LA All Sports Screenplay Competition as well as having been selected for several other competitions.

I am a graduate of West Point and I hold true to the honor code depicted in this screenplay and what DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY truly means. At the Academy, I learned of Henry Flipper, the central character in another of my screenplays, BLACK KNIGHT OF THE HUDSON,and of his tale of perseverance and determination. His story haunted me and bears themes similar to Solomon Northup’s struggle in "12 Years A Slave" and begs to be told. Similar to Henry and Solomon, I have not given up on pursuing an avenue to get this script and others I have written into the right hands so that they might be told to many.
Laurels, awards and other accomplishments:
I am a prolific writer who has been recognized on the Black List for one of my feature scripts,BLACK KNIGHT OF THE HUDSON. This script, having received high ratings by industry professionals, has also been selected as one of 2 finalists for the Disney Writers Fellowship and as a finalist in the Austin and Nicholl Competitions. Most recently it was selected at the Beverly Hills Festival.

BLACK KNIGHT OF THE HUDSON is the story of Henry Flipper, the fourth black man ever appointed to the Military Academy at West Point. Upon arriving at the Academy, Henry soon discovers he is not welcome there -- simply because of his race. So, enduring excessive prejudice and unjust hardships for four long years, he struggles to become what the other three men before him could not: the first black graduate of West Point.

BLACK KNIGHT is a story of courage and triumph, and of enduring tremendous difficulties to realize one’s dreams, a drama as timely today as it’s ever been.
