About me - current project:
Robin Parker was born in San Francisco, California but raised in the City of Martinez. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from CSU Sacramento in 1991. After graduating, she pursued a career in the finance and legal fields, practicing transactional law as a Certified Paralegal for various financial institutions, corporations and law firms throughout the Bay Area. Her actual film career didn't start until 2011 when she made the decision to go back to college to pursue secondary degrees in film and animation. Her first film "The Martinez Special - an American Icon", a short documentary about the birthplace of the martini and the battle between the City of Martinez and the City of San Francisco over its birthplace, has won many awards, was nominated into the U.S. National Archives by the U.S. Library of Congress and was also an official selection at several international film festivals. It is currently listed and airing on local TV stations throughout the Bay Area, California.

Robin has written and directed several short films and is an alumni member of Scary Cow Productions, an Indie film co-op based in San Francisco. She is currently at work on a feature documentary with director Amy Sakaue, which tells the story of Japanese laborers immigrating from Japan to America at the end of World War II. In addition, Robin is also in pre-production for her short film titled 'Cravings After Dark' and with director Michelle Sellers feature length film titled 'Summer Air'.
