In a collaborative effort to conserve fish species in Myanmar’s Kachin State, two fisheries experts from California set out on a journey with Fauna and Flora International to document the establishment of fish conservation zones in streams and rivers near the rural villages of Wasardam, Ziyardam, and Karlan. In this first-person documentary, filmed and narrated by Erin Loury and Jeremy Pombo, trek into the remote mountains of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) and witness the challenges of researching and conserving Myanmar’s unique freshwater fishes.
