Expect the fluid to come out strong, and weakens as it drains, so place the drain pan accordingly. Tighten the drain plug when it's done draining. Figure 1. Replace the drain plug to a snug fit without over tightening or stripping it. Place the pump hose into the fill hole and pump in the transmission fluid without overfilling it. You can use 75W90 gear oil or 10W30 motor oil for the trans. I would use full synthetic for whatever one you choose. I would only use ATF or ATF+4 in the transfer case. Choose the brand you like. If you have an oil gun, you can fill it with the transmission fluid and connect the hose to the transmission port so that the fluid will flow in without your effort. But it doesn't matter, and you can use whichever you have. Immediately after the car starts, you will notice a high flow of fluid from your transmission lines. This can be done by knowing the GL rating of gear oils. The most common GL rating is GL-4 and GL-5. GL-4 is typically used in regular cars for daily usage. The GL-5 is recommended to high-stressed gearboxes in trucks and high power output cars. 4. Once the fill plug is out, position the drain pan on the floor under the drain plug on the lower right side of the transmission housing and remove the drain plug being careful not to drop it into the drain pan. 5. Once all the oil has drained, replace the drain plug and tighten with the 8mm Allen socket. 6. A rough estimate of maybe 3ft-5ft of that should be good. 2. Locate the Check/Fill Plug and once located remove with a 17mm socket. If you'd like dip your finger in there to see what the fluid looks like. 3. Analyze the plug & finger to see if it's dirty and that the fluid needs to be replaced.
