Jefferson Park is a low-income section of Los Angeles less than 10 miles from Beverly Hills, but it might as well be a million miles away.
When her parents announce their divorce, Kayla meets a 19-year-old drug dealer, who is kind and understanding but at what price? Stars Helen Slater and Academy Award winner Chris Tashima who will be here!
Plays with the award winning short,
Lil Tokyo Reporter starring Chris Tashima!
I'm looking forward to the Cine Asia screening. The Model Minority filmmakers are doing a fantastic job promoting their film on the SFF website.
Lil Tokyo Reporter where you at? I would love to see a trailer for your film. Please post..please.
Great News! The wait is over. Tickets are on sale!! Tell a friend!
As folks may be aware, I have roles in both films in the Cine-Asia Program: I star in "Lil Tokyo Reporter" and have a supporting role in "Model Minority." Did you also know, both films feature the amazing work of production designer Niko Vilaivongs? Two totally different worlds, in two different eras, in two different genres. Just thought I'd mention.
See you soon
Kudos Chris and Lily. I'm sure it's a well deserved win!
"Lil Tokyo Reporter" director Jeffrey Gee Chin is interviewed by Asians On Film:
