Born and raised in tree-leaved metropolis of East Sacramento, Joseph was lured down to Southern California when he received both the prestigious USC Presidential Scholarship and the National Hispanic Scholarship to study theatre at the University of Southern California. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude, he has acted in a multitude of community and professional theatre productions including Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet at the Theatricum Botanicum and Art in Boni Alvarez’s Looking Towards Lourdes. He is acclaimed for two plays that he wrote and starred in, Little Big Joe the Bug Squasher and Swimming to China in My Birthday Suit. Joseph has also appeared in several short films including R.F. Rodriguez’s Mac, an adaptation of Macbeth. Blacked Out is Joseph’s debut film.
