Why are my bids for openings not competitive?

I am facing an issue with my bids for opening projects because many times my prices are not competitive compared to others. I try to calculate carefully, but still lose projects. Maybe I am missing something in labor, material, or quantity calculations. I think using doors windows estimating services can help improve accuracy and make bids more professional. What methods do other contractors use to stay competitive in this type of work?
